Making sure that our team of customer service Ninjas have knowledge and skills at their fingertips is Megan West, team coach and trainer. Here, Megan explains what she enjoys most about her job and why customer service is at the heart of the Source for Business Retail Service Centre.
“I started working for Source in 2016 and I’ve been working in the Retail Service Centre since May 2017. It’s a lovely place to work – very relaxed but professional at the same time. Everyone is very friendly, we all get on really well and every day is different.
“Coaching is my favourite part of the job because I enjoy listening to people’s skills and praising the things they have done well and looking at what training could help the team to improve. It’s so rewarding when you see people moving forward, especially if I’ve had an impact on them.
“We are working in such a competitive marketplace and customer service is what sets us apart from our competitors. Most people value service as much as price saving and if they know that the person they are speaking to genuinely wants to help them and is friendly and knowledgeable then that makes a big difference to them. There’s nothing worse than feeling like you’re on the phone to someone who is just waiting for 5pm…
